1. Ensure that the bike adjustment levers and knobs (seat height, seat for-and-aft, handlebar height, and handlebar fore-and-aft) are properly secured and do not interfere with range of motion during exercise. A member of staff will help you find the correct position.
2. Riders under 5ft (152 cm) should not ride the Wattbike. The bike mechanism and ergonomics are designed for riders above 5ft (152 cm).
3. Do not insert any object, hands, or feet into any openings, or expose hands, arms or feet to the drive mechanism or other potentially moving part of the bike.
4. The maximum weight for individuals riding the Wattbike bike should not exceed 330 pounds (150 kilograms).
5. If at any time you feel dizzy or have difficulty breathing, gradually stop pedalling, and carefully dismount the bike.
6. Listen to your body, ride at your own pace, and set your bike’s gear at the level that feels right for you.
7. Keep children and pets away from the bike whenever it’s in use.
8. Never turn the pedal crank arms by hand.
9. Stay hydrated. Drink water throughout your ride as needed.
10. Do not attempt to ride the Wattbike in a standing position at a high RPM until you have practiced at slower speeds.
11. Focus on form, posture, and making smooth pedal strokes.
12. Do not use the Wattbike without proper footwear. Never operate the bike with bare feet. Our bikes have pedals with toe straps and also pedals compatible with Shimano SPD, Shimano SPD-SL, and Look Keo cleats.
13. Never remove your feet from the pedals while still in motion. If your foot does become disengaged, stop pedalling.
